About

I am an Associate Professor in private law, author, and legal advisor with expertise in private law, consumer finance, digital regulation, contract law, and energy law.

My work is driven by a simple concern: how law responds when markets, technologies, and institutions reshape the conditions of everyday life.

Over the years, I have built an academic and professional profile that combines rigorous legal research with practical legal experience. My research has focused especially on debt, consumer finance, informal debt collection, digital finance, and platform governance, but my expertise also extends to contract law, commercial law, comparative legal analysis, and energy law. I work across doctrinal, comparative, and interdisciplinary methods, always with an eye on how law operates in practice and how it affects real actors in unequal markets and institutional settings.

Alongside my academic career, I have worked in legal practice, consultancy, public administration, and the energy sector. I have been a managing partner in private practice, a senior associate attorney, an in-house legal expert, a legal advisor in public service, and of counsel in advisory work. That experience has shaped the way I approach legal problems: analytically, strategically, and without illusions about the gap that often exists between legal form and institutional reality.

I am currently Associate Professor of Law at the University of Southern Denmark. Before that, I held academic positions at the University of Copenhagen, including as Marie Curie Fellow and Assistant Professor. I have also taught and held visiting appointments across several jurisdictions, including Denmark, Romania, Hungary, China, Norway, Poland, and Singapore. My teaching and supervision span undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral levels, and I care deeply about combining intellectual seriousness with clarity, structure, and practical relevance.

My publications include monographs, edited volumes, peer-reviewed journal articles, and invited chapters with leading academic publishers. I have received competitive international research funding, including a Marie Curie Individual Fellowship, and I have been involved in editorial work, peer review, academic evaluation, conference organisation, and invited speaking in a range of international settings.

This website brings together my research, publications, writing, and selected professional services. I am available for invited lectures, workshops, expert commentary, research consulting, editorial feedback, and selected advisory engagements where careful legal analysis, comparative perspective, and strategic judgment are genuinely useful.
